The Directors, Deans & Chairs of Departments Retreat Workshop was held from 18th–21st November 2025 at Burch’s Resort, Naivasha, organized by Prof. Simon Ngigi and coordinated by the CTLE Secretariat.

Themed Leading Teaching and Learning Excellence Through Policy, Practice, and Innovation, the workshop focused on strengthening academic leadership and governance through a deeper understanding of teaching and learning policies.

Participants explored innovative, technology‑enhanced, and AI‑supported pedagogies, gaining practical insights into effective adoption of innovative assessment practices. The retreat successfully empowered academic heads to lead with vision, policy alignment, and innovation in teaching and learning excellence.
