The Center for Learning and Teaching Excellence (CTLE) is a training, advisory and consultative center established by the University Management Board to make recommendations to the Senate on matters pertaining to strategic planning, policy direction, quality standards and integrity in university teaching and learning within the overall framework of the University strategic plan 2019 – 2023. The Center aids the academic staff to attain their full potential as University teachers and scholars by way of promotion of innovative collaboration and collegiality inspired by the love of learning. This is in addition to rendering support to the University quest for a more learner centered, technology assisted pedagogical environment. The CTLE has a robust strategic framework that provides a detailed road map for the Center’s operations. It is envisaged that when fully implemented, it will catapult KCA University to be a leading institution in professional pedagogical development in the area of teaching and learning within the region. Student success is considered a key pillar which is to be enabled by adoption of emerging technologies for teaching and learning. At CTLE we consider the advancement of teacher pedagogical competencies as a necessary condition for student success.
