Review Curriculum Designs for School of Education Arts, & Social Sciences

In January 2024, Dr. Catherine Kanana, a Curriculum and Teaching Learning Specialist, conducted a comprehensive review of all programs offered by the School of Education, Arts, & Social Sciences (SEASS). This review aimed to ensure each program aligns with established curriculum standards. The review included the following programs:

  • Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (17 programs)
  • Master of Arts in Criminology (15 programs)
  • Master of Arts in Kiswahili na Mawasiliano (12 programs)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Translation and Interpretation, (16 programmes)

The DVC – Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Joshua Bagaka’s on 3rd May 2023 officially opened a Workshop organized by KCA University Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) led by Prof. Ngigi, Director – CTLE, Committee Members, and other co-opted members to develop a Teaching and Learning Policy at Sagana Getaway Resort

Friday the 10th of March, 2023 marked the end of a 3 weeks. KCAU-PASGR PedaL Training on Course Design, Facilitation and Innovative Assessments in a Blended Learning Environment.
It was a pleasure to have The DVC – ASA Prof. Joshua Bagakas close this resourceful training that was held at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).

KCAU-PASGR PedaL Training on Course Design, Facilitation and Innovative Assessment in a Blended Learning Environment.

The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence in partnership with Partnership for African Social & Governance Research (PASGR) is conducting a 3 weeks PedaL Online Training on Course Design, Facilitation and Innovative Assessment in a Blended Learning Environment from 20th February to 10th March, 2023. In- person Training on the same will be every Friday starting today on 24th February, 2023 at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). The training is led by the following PedaL Facilitators  (Pedagogical Leadership)

KCAU – PASGR MOU Sigining

The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence is organizing a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between KCAU and Partnership for Africa Social Governance and Research (PASGR). The MOU's focus is on pedagogy and leadership at the University level. The confirmed date is Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 2.00 - 5.00 pm.
