This was a Webinar that started at 9.00 am and the target group was all teaching staff. The aim was to Create a Pool of Faculty Trainers in Flipped Classroom.
CTLE planned a series of seminars on Course design and implementation of flipped classroom model.
The orientation was virtual and it started at 2.00pm. The target group was all new KCA University teaching staff engaged between September 2021 and May 2022.
This was a virtual training for all School of Business teaching staff.
The faculty was taught that it is important to note the different levels of thinking defined within each domain of the Taxonomy are hierarchical and that Specific learning outcomes can be derived from the taxonomy, though it is most commonly used to assess learning on a variety of cognitive levels.
The training was held at Panorama Park Hotel in Naivasha and target group was Deans and Chairpersons of academic division.

The training was conducted from the School of Business Board Room at 9.00am.
The Objective of the training was to have a reflection of best practices and agree on a harmonized approach in facilitation of PhD classes at KCA University.
The training was held at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS) and the target group was all lecturers teaching Masters and PhD programmes.
The objective of this workshop was to facilitate participants to acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for effective supervision of postgraduate students conducting research and writing theses. The participants were set up in one cohort.
By the end of the training, the participants were expected to have knowledge to improve on how they relate with students doing their thesis by engaging them throughout their research.
The training had on Day one 39 participants and on Day two 31 participants and the facilitators were Prof. Joshua Bagakas – DVC, Academic & Student Affairs and Prof. Khaemba Ongeti.
The Collaboration event was between KCA University and Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) that was held at KCA University Block C Hall starting from 2.00pm.
The theme of the event was: Transforming Pedagogy in African Universities.
The areas of Collaboration are to conduct staff capacity development in higher education pedagogy through the Pedagogical Leadership in Africa (PedaL), to explore opportunities to implement collaborative post-graduate academic programmes in public policy, to provide research methods capacity strengthening for faculty and research students to undertake joint research and publications in areas of mutual interest, and to promote policy uptake. For purposes of this, the Collaboration Agreement terms are used synonymously.
The retreat was held at Panorama Park Hotel in Naivasha and was attended by 5 participants who were the 3 CTLE staff and 2 CTLE committee members, and was opened by Prof. Joshua Bagaka’s – DVC, Academic & Student Affairs.
The workshop was held at the Kenya School of Monetary Study (KSMS) and organized by the School of Technology in conjunction with Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence as part of the Kenya Norway Mobility (KeNoMo) project activities.
The workshop triggered research interest on discrete event modeling using petri nets among faculty members.
The target group was all the full time School of Technology Academic staff members.
The event was facilitated by a visiting Professor from the University of Stavanger (UiS) - Prof. Reggie David Ranjurah.
The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence in partnership with Partnership for African Social & Governance Research (PASGR) is conducting a 3 weeks PedaL Online Training on Course Design, Facilitation and Innovative Assessment in a Blended Learning Environment from 20th February to 10th March, 2023. In- person Training on the same will be every Friday starting on 2th February, 2023 at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).
